Professor Ibrahim Odeh is the Founding Director of the Global Leaders in Construction Management program at Columbia University. He is a unique combination of a strategist, academic, innovator, and entrepreneur. His work seamlessly merges the worlds of industry and academia, spans the global construction market, and provides leading construction firms with unique market insights and growth strategies. Professor Odeh worked as an advisory committee member at the World Economic Forum on the Future of Construction project and as an advisory board member at Financial Times on a similar initiative. In the fall of 2016, Professor Odeh introduced a project focused on providing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) to educate global learners about Construction Management under the Coursera platform. In the program's first two years, the number of learners registered for his courses exceeded 75,000 from 190 countries, with an additional 400 new learners joining every week! His courses ranked third globally under the business category on Coursera. Professor Odeh has won several awards and other recognition such as Columbia University's Presidential Award for Outstanding Teaching; Top 20 Under 40 by Engineering News Records; and Top 40 Under 40 by Consulting-Specifying Engineer. Professor Odeh received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and he also holds an MBA.

Conducted bottom-up detailed market research of capital plans and future investments in major infrastructure sectors in the USA for all 50 states as the core market analysis of the Business Plan 2020 for Skanska Civil Unit USA.

Conducted a comprehensive study on how Millennials and Generation Z view the construction industry differently than Baby Boomers and Generation X.

Developed a framework to establish Corporate Universities for several mid-sized firms.

Developed an assessment study of the PPP trends and status in the USA market.

Developed a comprehensive study to learn from three manufacturing industries: Aerospace, Automotive, and Shipbuilding and extracted lessons learned of their journeys to be implemented in the construction industry.

Analyzed the construction market size and trends in the MENA region, and identified the best entrance strategies to the GCC market.

Analyzed business models for engineering firms for potential acquisitions.

Developed a thorough analysis of the sustainability maturity levels of 16 cities in the USA.

Developed a sustainability study for regulations and tools implemented in the infrastructure markets of all 50 states in USA.

Analyzed sustainability characteristics of 22 infrastructure projects to help with bid processes.

Performed market analysis and assessment of the status of four transportation sectors in 10 countries outside the USA.

Developed a market study of lifecycle trends of top 100 contractors and 100 designers between the year 1965 and year 2015.
